Saddam Hussein's Demise Imminent

So why doesn't it feel like a victory? There is no getting away from the fact that this man is pure evil to the root of his soul, and yet I can't help but feel that executing him is going to cause even more evil in the world. It also doesn't feel right to take another person's life and that in doing so we are no better than he was. I am a firm believer in "What goes around, comes around" but I am not convinced that others should be the ones dishing it out, and that the torment should come from within.

So, it doesn't feel like a victory to me, and it is certainly a situation that I would hope is avoided at all costs in the future.
